Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion. (by Dylan Thomas)
Billy P. Carwile
Billy, you have led an extraordinary and exemplary life as a truly fine human being. You have left a transformational impact with everyone who was fortunate enough to meet you.
You were a true patriot who served our country. First you joined the Navy, serving as a fifty-gunner on a swift boat during the Viet Nam War. Later you joined the Ranger Battallion, and finally the US Army Special Forces. Your stories have kept us entertained on many long nightshifts.
We admired your loving dedication to your wife Bonnie, your son, daughter, and grandson. You enjoyed computers and science fiction. You were a published author, whose writings were inspiring and moving to the reader. You lived your life with integrity and stood up for your convictions. We are so proud of you.
You became a member of the exclusive “Commo Vampires”, a great friend and co-worker. Thank you for teaching us so much. Your kindness and humor could transform a room and the people in it. We cherish the wonderful memories. It is impossible to recall some of them without laughing out loud.
Billy, you showed us how to love life and live it to the fullest. You were an avid Harley Rider, and made trips to Sturgis, Canada, Daytona, Myrtle Beach and Key West with your 100 Year Anniversary Electra Glide Ultra Classic. We will ride together in Heaven.
During your lifetime, you had several close calls with death, but you survived miraculously every time. In September 2007, you were called home. Even in your passing, you gave life by leading another out of the Valley of the Shadows of Death.
YOUR INSPIRATION MADE RESTLESS SPIRITS MISSION A REALITY.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUOUS GUIDANCE IN SPIRIT.
WHEN I GROW UP, I WANT TO BE JUST LIKE YOU. YOU ARE MY HERO!!! (N.M.)
